txtsites is a small collection of plain text websites: a weather forecast, live sports scores, an internet speed test, and news headlines. each one is a single fast page that does its job and gets out of the way.
most of the web got heavy. checking a score or a forecast now means megabytes of javascript, autoplay video, cookie banners, and ads that follow you around. these sites are an argument that it can still be simple: useful information, monospace text, nothing else.
